Schools

Athboy Community School

“Thanks to all staff, pupils and parents/guardians for your co-operation with the smooth closedown of the school at very short notice yesterday afternoon. As mentioned at yesterday’s assemblies, pupils should respect the request to remain socially isolated and not to congregate in large groups. The school and school office are now closed to pupils, parents/guardians and members of the public.

Staff will continue to liaise with pupils on our online platform Office 365. All pupils should monitor their school e-mail on a daily basis for instructions from teachers. These include details of work for CBAs which can be carried out over the next few weeks. Please contact principal@athboycs.ie if you have any difficulties in accessing your account. If possible, use a fellow student’s account for this purpose, or an alternative e-mail account for yourself on a once off basis (e.g. gmail).

We wish all members of the school community a safe time over the next few weeks. You should continue to monitor this School App for further details which will be kept to a minimum. I can be contacted at principal@athboycs.ie at all times if you have any urgent need to do so”

Murtagh’s Life Pharmacy

“In line with current practice in many pharmacies around the country, as of tomorrow morning we have decided to operate from our front door only.
We completely understand this may cause anxiety and stress to some but it is a necessary step we must take to protect staff and customers.
We want to continue to serve our customers and be well and healthy to fulfil all prescription and medicine needs.
We will have staff on the door at all times taking in prescriptions and gathering any items you wish to purchase.
We would also ask the card payments be the only method of payment (our machines are wireless so you can easily tap your card).
Our phone number is 046-9432380 if you wish to contact us regarding ordering prescriptions or items to be put aside for collection. Please do not order prescriptions over Facebook messenger.
We would like to thank each and every one of you for your continued help, support and cooperation! This has been a very difficult decision to make but we hope you all understand.”

This is one of the hardest decisions that I have had to make as a small independent business it’s is never an easy decision but one that I have to take.
As of today Faulkner’s Fashions Ladies will be closed until Monday the 30th of March .
I think this is the right decision to make for the safety of our customers and community.
If you need anything from the shop while it is closed please phone 087-9073310 and I can arrange delivery .
Please stay safe and where possible stay at home .
If we follow the guidelines from the HSE , we can beat this together
I look forward to seeing you all soon and having some normality back in our lives.
